Weekly StoryTime programs are designed to meet the early literacy needs of children through stories, rhymes and play - all while strengthening the bond between child and caregiver and cultivating a love for the library! Registration not required. Stories and STEAM (grades 2-4) Thursday, December 21, 4-5 p.m. Bessmer Room of the Newton Public Library Join us on the third Thursday of each month for hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering, art and math! This month, we will be making holiday cards with LED lights. Registration requested. To register, email or call the library at 316-283-2890.

Free season make-and-take activities for kids ages 4-10 from 10 AM - Noon each month on the second Saturday. This month we will make beaded wreaths.

Everyone is welcome to join Walk & Roll Harvey at the Newton Lions Club Parade of Lights. Get your lights and decorate your bikes, trikes, strollers, scooters, wheelchair or self if you're walking! Meet-up is at 5:45 PM on Thursday, December 7 on W 7th & Main in Newton. Can't find us? Ask people in Lions Club shirts where we line up.
